New work for vibraphone and crotales to be performed by Claire Edwardse in Sydney and Melbourne during the series Avant Gardens Summer of Ensemble Offspring

Floating Sky, for vibraphone and crotales, will be premiered by percussionist Claire Edwardse in Sydney, Australia. This work was commissioned by Claire Edwardse and gives the listener a feeling of floating on the ocean, gazing at the sky. In the far distance a well-known melody might be heard, ever so softly. The performance in Sydney will take place in the home of a patron of Ensemble Offspring, and this will will be repeated on March 1 in Sydney. A third performance will take place in Melbourne on March 5 at the venue Tempo Rubato.
